An uncanny resemblance

A humble feijoa, a Kiwi autumn favourite (Kiwi the people, not the fruit), closely related to the guava, made the papers in New Zealand this week. One undersized slightly ground brown fruit sold on trademe (New Zealands version of EBay) for 1000NZD to the famous in New Zealand mortgage broker, Mike Pero on the condition that half the money be donated to charity. It was uncannily shaped like a Kiwi (the bird, not the people). He (Mike not the Kiwi Feijoa) plans to embalm the little guy as a desk ornament.

It really does look like a Kiwi!
