There are 26 public holidays in Cambodia but neither J nor M get all of them so except for the major ones- The Water festival, P'chum Ben and Khmer New Year it is rare for them to have time off at the same time. This time round for some reason the school has seen fit to give the kids thursday off (out of a choice of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday- which J gets all of) so M is taking Friday off as well and we are escaping for a long weekend. I am really looking forward to exploring a new city. I'll let you know how we went.
